@SSN_TexasState@WinterSportsLaw@GregSankey You don’t get it - it’s not semi professional- it’s professional and in most markets SEC and Big 10 football will best NFL in tickets sold and TV
@ShannonTerry This act is so stupid - the future is not the past. The future is the professionalization of top football and basketball teams. The future is revenue growth - winners and losers in the market and competing vs NFL and NBA for revenue.
@chandunair@ihtesham2005 Thanks! Very interesting criticism. Reading the real debate in the face of criticism vs the hype of a Ted Talk is helpful. Duckworth’s overstated effect size appears to be the source of her acclaim - that’s a lot of mileage from 3%.
@WinterSportsLaw Shortsighted. Colleges needs to remove the eligibility caps, do multi year contracts, and compete against NFL & NBA. Ask what happens on Sunday if Michigan plays a football game at same time as Lions? Repeat the question in other states and you’ll understand the potential future.
@iceyysquid@JonRothstein He recruited the injured players and players with history of injury. And no Lowe wouldn’t have made any difference in tournament outcome. Let’s see what Pope does in year 3 - let the new AD decide.
@KyleTuckerCBB Now explain how Calipari has 6 Elite Eight losses, 3 Final Four losses, 2 title-game losses. Most failure with elite talent since…Dean Smith.
@Voix_of_d_north@bet365 I would argue none of these US games times are good especially for engaging the casual fan. The 9pm Eastern on Friday is Ok. 3pm on Friday and 10pm game times on Thursday are aweful and plain dumb.
@PopperPeter55@StanUsmnt Not hate - Adams doesn’t help in the build up and transition to offense. He’s known for his defense but when you watch closely he’s doesn’t really hustle and misses runners a lot. See the first Senegal goal and goal vs Netherlands last WC.
