@NolanAntonucci Just in case it does happen: You can VPN or proxy it in a pinch.
Always better to execute on a remote server if you’re automating anything.
(I got temporarily blocked once)
@James15578251@PeterZeihan@Loralyn28954790 It’s not even Twitter. It’s just communication over text + emoji. Without voice tone people lose information.
Combine that with the current political environment and … well you know.
Anyway, my intent was to be constructive, not critical.
@PeterZeihan@Loralyn28954790 Big fan, so I say this in good faith:
The laugh emoji gave the wrong impression of you being dismissive.
That’s probably why the man you’re replying to saw it as potentially insulting.
@ChurchillBarton @KateGoesTech@LindseyGrahamSC Russia certainly sees the USA as the enemy. Part of that is because the US government took measures so they couldn’t just take over a sovereign nation unchecked, but that says more negative about Russia than it says about the USA.
@KateGoesTech@LindseyGrahamSC I support Ukraine 100%, but I can’t get behind this. The Russian government sure, but I know a Russian guy on Discord who is firmly against the war. He didn’t cause this.
@DanPinch@PeterZeihan It does mitigate currency inflation … too much. You want a 2%ish inflation rate to encourage investment and spending rather than hoarding money in a saving account.
Of course, negative supply shocks cause inflation regardless of the currency regime.
@LHReddy1@abytw@Butsy2022@elonmusk@LindseyGrahamSC God willing …
I mean, i don’t want a bunch of random rogue states with nukes (or Wagner) but I’d rather take my chances on the Russian regime falling than let them get any significant win in Ukraine.
It also ain’t like Russia is responsible with their nuclear weapons policy.
@abytw@Butsy2022@LHReddy1@elonmusk@LindseyGrahamSC That’s totally fair, but the war isn’t “just” their problem. We (and by we, I mean NATO) is footing the bill for the war. Ideally, they won’t have to cede anything, but it’s a credible possibility that Trump or Desantis win and cut the funding.
@SatoruSato92@ianbremmer Nah. “Dog Whistle” may be an overused term, but it’s a useful one. It’s the political equivalent to gaslighting and it’s a strategy that’s been employed before. (Most infamously by Lee Atwater)
@drew_pickard > In this study, the incidence of vaccine-related myocarditis was 0.95 per 100 000 individuals and was highest in men aged 18–24 years, who had received two doses of the vaccine.
For scale, the odds of getting murdered in a given year are higher than this.
@drew_pickard > Myocarditis up to 28X > after vax than Covid
Do you have a source on that claim? I can’t find one. What does “up to” mean here? That suggests the data is stratified into different risk groups. EG: 18-35 males who took Moderna.

@davehanson@googlecalendar It probably won’t happen because it would force companies into pay transparency.
That’s not to say it wouldn’t be worth the trade off, but the last thing companies want to do is give labor MORE leverage in the current job market.
