With my daughter at From Vows to Victory in Austin this morning. Just wonderful to see all the gay, queer and many more! folks reaffirming their marriage vows. What an important right to celebrate and fight for! #lg
Michigan social work students can get $30K to pursue a master’s degree. That's a huge win for social workers and it's all related to the advocacy of @NASWMI! Love seeing this support for students and hope this leads to funding in more states.

The @RhodeIslandNASW chapter released a statement on the terrorist attacks in Israel.

Congrats @NASWOhioChapter Executive Director Danielle Smith (center) for winning the Excellence in a State Campaign award @WGRDC! On the left is Sarah Butts, #NASW public policy director & Dina Kastner, NASW senior field organizer.
You are looking at three social work rockstars!
I’m sorry. In America, your right to exercise your religion doesn’t give you a right to discriminate.
If your business is open to the public, you don’t retain some license to discriminate based on religious belief. Religious bigotry is still bigotry.
SCOTUS should be ashamed.
Three thoughts this morning:
1) Putin’s invasion of Ukraine last year will go down in history as one of the biggest fuckups & biggest miscalculations ever made by a major figure on the world’s stage.
2) Joe Biden’s response to Putin’s invasion, Biden’s strong defense of Ukraine, and Biden’s leadership in assembling a unified worldwide coalition to stand WITH Ukraine and stand AGAINST Russia will go down in history as one of the greatest defenses of freedom & sovereignty ever put together on the world’s stage.
3) The world is so fortunate Trump lost in 2020.
One year ago, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, stripping away the right to make personal medical decisions from millions. Abortion is healthcare. We haven’t stopped fighting to restore this necessary care, and will continue to do so as long it takes. #txlege
Austin-area book girlies! Today is the grand opening of Sunday Bookshop in Dripping Springs! I got my first of many hauls there and I cannot recommend it enough. Go get a book, stop at Deep Eddy, make a nice lil Sunday out of it!!
This incredibly lifelike rendering shows we must go back to the office! A combo of jaundice, leprosy, morbid obesity and bad plastic surgery awaits the #WorkFromHome bunch.
PS - my fav part is the coffee cup, apple core and bed pan she's got going on on the bed. Winning combo!
So glad to see #ICWA remain in place. Our country must recognize the sovereignty of indigenous rights and kids remaining with their families and culture is just sound policy.

Happy #PrideMonth everyone. I'm late to the party because Twitter has me conflicted about the new ownership, but regardless, I hope everyone celebrates love in their own unique way!
And Happy Early Fathers' Day too!

@RepJamesFrank I appreciate this thoughtful and reflective look into both why you voted the way you did, as well as your concerns about the process. Thank you for your accountability while staying true to your values. You continue to lead with integrity, and Texas is better for your leadership.
