Dr. John Ahn Brings the Micro- and Nanoplastics Crisis to the TEDx Stage
Dr. John Ahn, PhD, MBA — Chief Scientist and Chair of the ALLATRA Global Research Center — took the TEDxStLouis stage on May 30, 2026, delivering a talk at the Missouri History Museum.
His presentation, "Too Small to See, Too Dangerous to Ignore: Micro- and Nanoplastics," brought critical attention to one of the most urgent invisible threats facing humanity today.
Dr. Ahn addressed how everyday plastic products break down into particles so small they cannot be seen — yet accumulate in our air, water, ecosystems, and human bodies. Emerging research links these particles to neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular effects, reproductive health challenges, and cellular disruption.
Не also noted that while reducing plastic use, improving recycling, and developing cleanup efforts remain important, the removal of micro- and nanoplastic particles already dispersed in air, water, ecosystems, and biological systems remains extremely difficult at a global scale. Dr. Ahn emphasized the need for a broader scientific discussion on how these particles could be made less harmful once they are already present in biological and environmental systems.
A key highlight of the talk was the role of electrostatic charge in explaining how these particles interact with biological systems — a scientific insight that may be central to developing future solutions.
Dr. Ahn's talk invited the audience to look at micro- and nanoplastics not only as an environmental issue, but as an emerging scientific challenge that requires continued research, open discussion, and practical thinking about future solutions.

ALLATRA partner in Kazakhstan, the Public Association “Center for Climate Research,” took part in the Regional Environmental Summit RES 2026 in Astana
📆From April 22 to 24, 2026, the Regional Environmental Summit (RES 2026) was held in Astana — the largest international platform in Central Asia dedicated to ecology, climate, and sustainable development issues.
The Republican Public Association “Center for Climate Research” (Republic of Kazakhstan, city of Almaty) presented at the Summit scientific materials on the problems of climate change and environmental pollution by nanoplastics, prepared by ALLATRA, and also held a series of meetings with international representatives and government institutions.
☑️Within the framework of the Summit, representatives of the Center discussed issues of international environmental cooperation with the Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yasumasa Iijima, the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aleška Simkić, and the Vice Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia, Batbayar Munkhtamir.
The main focus was placed on the problem of nanoplastics as one of the most serious and underestimated environmental threats of modern times.
The scientific report “Nanoplastics in the Biosphere: From Molecular Impact to a Planetary Crisis” was handed over to the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akmaral Alnazarova.
The scientific data collected in the report indicate that nanoplastic particles are capable of interfering with the fundamental mechanisms of cellular regulation.
The documentary film “Nanoplastics: The Threat to Life,” prepared by the ALLATRA Global Research Center, also attracted interest.
RES 2026 confirmed that modern environmental challenges require the unification of science, the state, and the international community in order to find joint solutions.

ALLATRA joined the OSCE Meeting in Vienna on Safeguarding Civic Space in the Digital Age
On May 11–12, 2026, the OSCE Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting in Vienna focused on “Safeguarding Civic Space in the Digital Age,” bringing together representatives of the 57 OSCE participating States, international organizations, civil society, and media representatives.
ALLATRA civic platform participated as the organizer of a dedicated side event titled “From Labels to Consequences: How Disinformation and Stigmatization Lead to Transnational Repression.” The event highlighted how coordinated labeling, disinformation, and narrative amplification in the digital environment can lead to tangible consequences, including restrictions on fundamental rights and freedoms. Experts from ALLATRA Global Research Center (ALLATRA GRC) demonstrated how such patterns leave observable digital traces and can be identified through open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysis.
During the main panel sessions and OSCE side events, ALLATRA GRC experts emphasized the importance of early recognition of disinformation patterns, noting that digital threats often begin long before visible forms of repression emerge, and underscored the need for increased awareness of how narratives shape public perception and decision-making, as well as the importance of examining both visible restrictions and the informational dynamics that precede them.

Albania Becomes a Quantum Hub | Ministers, Scientists & Artists Unite for QBI 2026
"Tonight, you are not watching the future. You are creating it."
On April 24, 2026, in Tirana, Albania, the Quantum Balkan Initiative (QBI) was launched — a regional alliance founded on a simple conviction: that the quantum era will be defined not by the technology itself, but by who is at the table when it is built.
The evening closed with a performance that brought science and art together: an AI hologram in dialogue with a Gala Host. The hologram's final line — borrowed from the founding principle of quantum mechanics itself:
▸ "In quantum physics, a possibility becomes real when it is observed. Tonight, you are not watching the future. You are creating it."

Pastor Mark Burns: Standing with ALLATRA Volunteers. Against Those Who Persecute Them
Pastor Mark Burns speaks out in support of ALLATRA volunteers and everyone facing persecution from the Russian Orthodox Church and the anti-cult movement:
"Hello, this is Pastor Mark Burns, and I have a message to all of the Allatra volunteers and to everyone who's been persecuted by the Russian Orthodox Church, including those who are being called out by the anti-cult movement that is happening to those in Russia and to those in Ukraine.
I come to tell you that you're not alone, that we hear you, that there is a fight that is coming to them. You are not by yourself. I'm here to let you know that all of America is behind you. I don't care what you read in the papers. I don't care what you may watch on YouTube. No! There are voices like mine all over the world and those here in the United States of America that are fighting for you.
Your laws are not man-made, they are God-made. And so my message to you, keep hope alive. Keep fighting. Don't quit. Never surrender. Know who you are. And know in the end, there will be victory for you and for all of us who stand for freedom against the tyranny of the Russian Federation that is trying to destroy the freedoms of those from around the world.
I'm Pastor Mark Burns. I approve this message and I'm fighting for you and for every person that stands for freedom and our God liberties that come from God and not from man.”

ALLATRA International Public Movement is a global project committed to promoting peace, kindness, and unity among all people, regardless of race, religion, or background. 🌟 We believe that through compassion and mutual respect, we can create a better world for everyone. 💖
However, this movement for positive change is being unfairly targeted. Organizations like FECRIS and RACIRS have launched campaigns under the guise of “anti-cultism,” which has led to some participants facing harassment, intimidation, and even being forced to flee their homes and countries. 🏠💔
Despite these challenges, the strength of ALLATRA’s message remains unshaken. We stand for peace, not division. We stand for love, not fear. And we will continue to unite people across the globe to build a future filled with hope and understanding. 🌿✨
Let’s continue to spread light and raise awareness. Every voice matters in the fight for human dignity and freedom. Together, we are unstoppable. 🤝💫
