The new EHRC Code of Practice is not fit for purpose. It does not provide clear guidance, it does not do enough to protect everyone from discrimination and harassment and it is not compatible with longstanding British values.

I have severe concerns about the incoming Coalition in Southwark and whether it will focus on community safety and housing needs. I suspect it’ll McCrash and burn. Time will tell.
It is insulting to every working class family to suggest that it’s somehow part of our culture to be vile, nasty and sexist and that anyone appalled at the Reform candidate in Makerfield’s comments is somekind of middle class pearl clutcher.
If Tony Blair cared so much, he could stand for office instead of sniping from the sidelines.
Let’s not forget: Blair tried Digital ID and backed down. He is the architect of PFI which has crippled our public services.
"If we carry on like this... we're going to create a situation where economically we're not able to grow."
Sir Tony Blair says the current welfare and pension triple-lock policies are 'not affordable', and argues for change in the NHS.
Daily reminder that Conservatives backed down against Labour on regulating social media😔
Only Liberal Democrat’s kept up the pressure💪

How much more evidence does Starmer need?
Teachers, parents, medical experts, even the kids themselves are warning about the effects of social media, yet Labour are dithering.
It’s time to do the right thing and raise the age limit for social media to 16.
🚨 NEW: Reform UK’s Makerfield by-election candidate Robert Kenyon previously claimed women “can’t drive” and get abortions for “vanity purposes” to “shag anyone they want”
He admitted: “I’m sexist, sorry but I am”
The immigration minister couldn't say how tall the London Eye is — yet it's a question migrants must answer to settle in Britain.
Don Foster, Lib Dem peer and chair of the Justice and Home Affairs Committee, challenged him on it.

Big win for Peckham 🏘️
The Planning Inspectorate has rejected Berkeley Homes’ plans for the Aylesham Centre after campaigning by residents, traders, local organisations and the @ACAPeckham.
This victory belongs to the whole community.
We need new homes and investment - but development must work for local people, protect Peckham’s character, and deliver genuine long-term benefit, not just luxury flats.
Now the conversation turns to what Peckham needs next.
