New from the lab!
Mitochondria from an aged mouse model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy have impaired creatine metabolism and oxidized mitochondrial CK (thiol labeling).
Targeting mitochondria with the peptide SBT-20 rescued mitochondrial creatine metabolism + lowered H2O2. 1/3
Working on human skeletal muscle SEM and wanted to share some my micrographs w/ #myotwitter. I think I may have stumbled on some myofibril branching and what looks like the mito network (what do you think @brianglancylab@HornbergerLab?) Man I ❤️ my job! @b_veen17 @CiaranFairman
Excellent lineup of speakers in tomorrow's virtual symposium.
Also, join us for the 3pm EST training session on mitochondrial technologies. Registration is free.
Love mornings but don’t love #exercise? Get more bang for your buck by exercising in the morning, says this mouse study from @JuleenRZierath.
