Look a little closer. Jane Schoenbrun’s once-in-a-generation new horror I SAW THE TV GLOW, starring Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine, opens in theaters May 3. Featuring score by Alex G and original music by Yeule, Sloppy Jane, Caroline Polachek and more.
I Saw the TV Glow at Sundance 2024! Editor Sofi Marshall spills the beans on her collaboration with director Jane Schoenbrun, the challenges faced during editing, and the journey of quiet protagonist Owen.

Some highlights from my conversations with @filmmakermag, @indiewire, and @adobe about the post process on I Saw the TV Glow. Thanks for chatting with me! Links to full articles in bio 😊
It’s so incredible to see all these reviews for I Saw the TV Glow (and it’s always exciting to get an editing shoutout)! From the first assembly, this film has resonated deep in my core and I’m so happy that it’s now out in the world. So proud of @sapphicspielbrg!
Very excited to announce that my new @a24 movie I SAW THE TV GLOW will world premiere at Sundance ‘24.
I left it all on the field w this one, I can’t believe it even exists tbh. It came from my guts and soon u will all be able to watch it wriggle + glow on the big screen!
So deeply indebted to our cast and crew of brilliant creative souls who poured their heart into this with me. The craziest experience of my life and I cannot wait for everyone to see their work 😭😭
Finally a new article! Three years ago I first wrote about my hardware-based real-time remote editing workflow. But times have changed and I’ve gone software-only!
Learn how to easily stream your timeline from Premiere, Avid, or FCP X using NDI Tools. https://t.co/VWIqiROKQV
Fun fact: On the feature I cut this winter, the director got snowed in at his remote cabin, where he has no high speed internet. Not wanting to cancel a full edit day, he joined the edit session with his iPhone via a mobile hotspot and we pushed through notes in record time 🙂
Published my personal real-time remote editing workflow a year ago today! Never could’ve imaged the incredible response, let alone the way the next year would shape up. Updated today to reflect some minor software/setup changes.

@lucasjharger@hellozach Loving Post Notes so far! Any chance of getting copy/paste (I can currently do this manually via Premiere's edit menu) as well as an undo/redo function? Even buttons you click inside the panel would be really helpful!
@editblog@Blackmagic_News@AdobeVideo Yikes! I just cut a spot with @Blackmagic_News raw and didn't run into that particular issue, but I did suffer through an enormous amount of crashes anytime I quickly clicked through clips in the bin (ie - looking through broll)
Just reviewed #ClearViewFlex for real-time remote collaboration! Tl;dr: Outstanding quality and color-accuracy make it a great choice for finishing work, but the lack of collab tools, cumbersome hardware, and high price tag aren't ideal for WFH editors.
