@beaconstball@ArtestJones Can't blame a guy for his curiosity. I told you you're unproductive and a hater towards BC football, you told me you could do anything you want because you fly private
@beaconstball@ArtestJones Not sure what’s more lame…
Your football-hater takes or posting a Twitter poll so that you can hope someone asks you about the Twitter poll just so you can talk about your “sizable investment” to people you don’t know
@ForBlogston@NewtonJedi Of course he’s allowed to not get as invested. No one is making anyone care about BC football…
But he does get invested! He gets invested in hating on the team and shooting down any little piece of excitement anyone else feels! Insufferable and lame behavior/bit
@Steve_Perrault How can you say it would be a ridiculous offer from another team but it would simultaneously not be ridiculous for the Red Sox to match it
@_TyAnderson That’s the exact thing I can’t wrap my head around - how on earth is this worth it? How is this c-list prospect worth enraging, frustrating, and saddening a strong portion of your fanbase?
@mlberrors@JasThompson13@mrjaming What is wrong in all this is Ryan Howard being 2nd in MVP voting with a 125 OPS+, not with his WAR total for that year. As others have mentioned, the man did nothing but occasionally homer. He struck out enough to almost negate his power
@mlberrors@JasThompson13@mrjaming You cannot be serious - you're choosing to take the side of WAR being wrong/inadequate, as opposed to MVP voting in 2008 being done by a bunch of old heads with no understanding/care for metrics beyond a shiny yearly home run total?
@StuartDining This take is completely right. BC Twitter scene is now clogged with take-heads who refuse to just be fans and have fun. And they do it all with the classic smug entitlement that you unfortunately see with some BC community members (a place I still dearly love despite them)
