સોમનાથ મંદિરનો ઇતિહાસ દર્શાવે છે કે આવા હુમલાઓ આપણને નુકસાન જરૂર પહોંચાડી શકે છે, પરંતુ તે આપણને નષ્ટ કરી શકતા નથી, કારણ કે દરેક વખતે વધુ ભવ્યતા તેમજ દિવ્યતા સાથે ઉદય થવો તે આપણી સનાતન સંસ્કૃતિની મૂળ પ્રકૃતિ રહી છે.

સોમનાથ મંદિર પર થયેલા પહેલા હુમલાના હજાર વર્ષ થવા પર પ્રધાનમંત્રી મોદીજીએ 'સોમનાથ સ્વાભિમાન પર્વ' ઉજવવાનું નક્કી કર્યું છે, જેથી આપણી ભાવિ પેઢીઓને સનાતન સંસ્કૃતિની સાતત્યતા અને જીવંતતાનો સંદેશ પહોંચાડી શકાય.

આ પવિત્ર મંદિરનો ટ્રસ્ટી હોવાનું મારું સૌભાગ્ય છે. મારી દેશવાસીઓને વિનંતી છે કે આપ સૌ આજથી 11 જાન્યુઆરી સુધી ઉજવાતા #SomnathSwabhimanParv માં જોડાઈએ.
