Hermes Agent by just crossed 200K GitHub stars in just a few months. I tested every claim in the @NousResearch project: memory, skills, cron, sub agents, all from Hermes Desktop App and WhatsApp.

The whole system is one loop:
message in → agent run → tools fire → loop ends → memory saved → skills grow

What surprised me:
No embeddings anywhere. Skills and user facts are plain text files.

Chat history is one local database. And it still compounds: the longer it runs, the harder it is to leave. The moat is memory, not the model.

I caught two gaps too: it never saved a non-complicated skill without being asked, and a cron bug. Details in the video.

Without my permission, my AI agent harness and loop engineering video got downloaded, reskinned, re-uploaded by much bigger X accounts. 400K+ views between them, none linked to the original X post. @nikitabier

Bigger accounts on X tend to attract more attention and I am fine with that. But the native video has no provenance on X and whoever re-uploads fastest gets the reach and the source disappears.

This just penalizes anyone trying to share original work on this platform.

This is not only making me feel uncomfortable, but also this is unfair to all creators who try to do original work on this platform.

Attribution should travel with the video. The system should reward the source instead of the rip.

@ShenSeanChen @nikitabier Apparently one of the guys has mentioned the youtube source in their comments. But it's still been done without consent, and it's quite evident that they have a pattern of recording other's content and uploading as their own. They are AI content farming. Sorry this happpened.
