My founder stages
2023: understanding *the world* so I know what I *should* work on
2024: understanding *my values* so I know what I *want* to work on
2025: looking for ALIVENESS IN MY SOUL so I know when THE UNIVERSE IS CALLING ME TO A DANCE OF DIVINE CREATION AND GLORY
@JimmyRis mm so you like the vibes but also find it more productive because it's easier to control? interesting
I'm finding it mostly slightly worse for the kind of work I'm doing right now (not developing)
sooo isn't it true that opus 4.7 was trained primarily to save compute and therefore should not be used for *anything* productive
save for model psychology research? or if you like the vibes ig
@dhvanil yep. every human has a unique taste (which I still find valuable, and hope the economy will, too) but taste itself is not uniquely human. I woke up to this recently but still have many (mostly young, early-ish career) friends holding onto this cope

Here are some progress shots for 'Close Encounters' 20x16 inches, oil on aluminum panel.
A scale drawing in pencil, an oil study for the background, the mostly completed painting, and the final version.
Inside the vast sweep of an O’Neill Cylinder…a manmade world inside a space station or generation ship, a child climbs unsupervised through a lush, wild space, turning over rocks and peeking through branches to discover a praying mantis. The setting is futuristic, but the subject is timeless. Curiosity and the drive to explore and discover how the world works is built into us.
I love the juxtaposition of advanced technology, capable of building worlds among the stars, with natural environments allowed to grow wild. It suggests a deliberate choice to cultivate those spaces, even though expensive and difficult…a recognition that they are of immense value beyond just their beauty.
The science-fiction elements are the visual language, but the subject is humanity itself as the curious, clever, innovative, slightly wild seekers of beauty and knowledge that we are.

(the domain name is a bit unfortunate, in hindsight, since it's specifically *not* a chat lol)
LW post: https://t.co/RuPPRMC440
Gave Pantheon's home page a facelift. If you're interested in weird ways to use LLMs and didn't yet try this thing we built back in 2024, go take a look!
Link below. Best on large screen. Free and open source, and there's a LessWrong post too.
Any referrals on coaches to work with on the emotional difficulties of stepping into leadership roles, owning your power etc? I'd love to book AoA coaches but they're like £1k an hour lol, who else should I consider?
best name for a fully hands-free voice mode for claude code? cli app. you talk and your guy claude responds in a configurable voice (mine will be attenborough-like). fast because local on apple silicon

what if I had an "ai publicist", a twitter bot that posts about my work? would see my daily/weekly notes, know what I've shipped, style from my ca vault, then just post about it. Then ppl could follow that account to follow my work and this account could just be sofi being goofy
I love this and also seeing someone else ship cool things like this makes me so angry
I'm in a bad slump recently where I talk myself out of building anything because the thought of posting about it causes huge anxiety
