On N Washington St in the morning delivery trucks often block the southbound bus lane; in the evening so many cars use the northbound bus lane it’s hard to call it a bus lane.

@Gigi4District1 3 days a week my kids and I take the @MBTA 92 or 93 home to Charlestown from the North End (other 2 days their on their @BostonSchools yellow bus). We sit in the N Washington St bus lane for an average of 15 minutes because there’s no enforcement.

On school days it takes my 4 and 6yo 30-40 minutes for the trip home of just over a mile.

Perhaps the existing units aren’t “affordable” but they are accessible to a broader slice of the population than the multi-million dollar SF that replaces them.
