I pledge 1 mil. UGX in cash for information on the whereabouts of each culprit in this video. My DM is open, as usual. Just squint your eyes and look closer.
Only a lawyer would understand the weight of 61 pages of Mubiru J's ruling.
All RDCs, Police officers ought to read this.

Omar Artan didn’t just make the #FIFAWorldCup, he made history as the first Somali referee to get there, and as #Africa’s best. That milestone stands no matter what. So sorry to see this, Omar. You reached the summit of your profession and inspired a generation back home just by getting there, and being kept off the pitch you earned doesn’t change that. This won’t be the end of your story on the world stage. The world stands with you as one family, wishing you resilience now and many more major finals to come. Solidarity. #Somalia
Premier of British Columbia is inviting the US-banned referee Omar Artan to officiate in Vancouver. This is one of the obvious solutions, but FIFA won't allow it.
American based Ugandan actress/filmmaker, Kemiyondo Coutihno has been working on a project for 7yrs. She has refused to wait any longer for funds and so she has decided to come back home and do a table reading with an amazing cast. The film is a romcom (romantic comedy) and it's called "BANANA REPUBLIK".
Kemiyondo has called upon anyone who has any fund connections (Gamba N'OGUs) with liquid to put in the project to reach out to see this piece come to life.
Congratulations Kemi upon getting this far. May the universe align for the project to be made. You are one of those abroad artists who continue to make work that shines light on Uganda.

Attention, this happened at Nsambya traffic lights just after Arena Mall near Sharing, that's how these goons on boda bodas are moving, they attacked two men they were from the bank In town, they took all the money. They cause some sort of an accident.@PoliceUg
I don't think most people are fully grasping what happened to Omar Artan. Citizens of African countries cannot travel to the US without first navigating a highly restrictive, discriminatory visa process. Africans face the highest refusal rates globally, not only for US visas +
I’m looking to work with 5 people. Each month, we contribute UGX 100,000 into a dedicated account for Adriel, Sidney’s son.
This is a long-term commitment, something we do year after year, for as long as we’re able.
If this is something you’d like to be part of, reach out.

. @KawalaRachael "Two additional suspects have been arrested in connection with the death of Sydney Gongodyo, a professional rugby player, following an incident that occurred on 5 June 2026.
The suspects have been identified as Mugwiisa Obed and Owino Joseph, a security guard. Mugwiisa Obed was captured in video footage wearing a yellow T-shirt and carrying a large log during the incident. During interrogation, he led investigators to a local laundry (dobbi) where he had taken the yellow T-shirt he was seen wearing on the day of the attack. The garment was subsequently recovered as part of the ongoing investigations.
Their arrest brings the total number of suspects currently in custody to ten (10) as investigations into the alleged mob killing continue.
Efforts are ongoing to identify, trace, and apprehend other individuals believed to have participated in the incident.
We remain committed to ensuring that all those responsible for this criminal act are held accountable and brought to justice in accordance with the law.
Further updates will be provided as investigations progress.
Did America not realise that the ‘soccer’ World Cup would involve people from all over the world visiting?
Is it the Baseball ‘World Series’ that has confused them?
I am deeply disappointed by the news that Omar Artan, Africa’s finest referee and one of the best in the world, may be unable to officiate at the FIFA World Cup due to visa-related circumstances.
Omar has earned his place through talent, hard work, professionalism, and integrity. Having officiated at the highest levels of African and international football, his credentials speak for themselves.
He represents not only Somalia, but also the aspirations of millions of young Africans who believe excellence should be recognized on the world stage.
I remain hopeful that a solution can be found. Football is at its best when it brings people together and celebrates merit, inclusion, and opportunity.
Omar, Africa and the world stand with you.
As South Africa, we hosted the World Cup in 2010.
Upon the insistence of FIFA & in accordance with the Host Country & Host City Agreements, we had to waiver laws, by-laws, policies, regulations, processes & the like, to ensure that South Africa became the ultimate hosts of the world during the period.
We passed special legislation specifically to meet FIFA's hosting requirements for the 2010 World Cup. The most important were the '2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Special Measures Act, 2006 (Act 11 of 2006)' and the 'Second 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Special Measures Act, 2006 (Act 12 of 2006)'. These laws were enacted to give legal effect to the guarantees we had made to FIFA during the bidding process.
The special laws effected temporary special provisions & exceptions in certain areas, including: Special visa, work permit, & accreditation arrangements for players, officials, media & visitors.
These requirements were not exclusive to South Africa, as Korea & Japan (2002), Germany (2006), Brazil (2014), Russia (2018), Qatar (2022), had to enact the same.
