Thailand’s Deputy Defence Minister Nattaphon Narkphanit clarified that his government had not given a definitive answer to U.S. President Donald Trump’s urgent appeal for an immediate ceasefire, according to a July 27 report by The Nation Thailand.
Instead, Thailand’s acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai stated only that the proposal would be considered “through established mechanisms and systematic processes,” the report said.
