Staking replaces locking. Aerodrome's new chapter.

@AerodromeFi and @VelodromeFi are merging into Aero. Together they've processed $342 billion in volume and distributed over $1.3 billion to participants.

In fact @AerodromeFi recently crossed a milestone: earning more than $1 of revenue per $1 of emissions, completely offsetting dilution.

The language is changing because the model is evolving. MetaDEX03 introduces terminology that reflects how the system actually works:

> "Staking" replaces "locking" because the token can be traded or transferred.
> "Allocating" replaces "voting" because it's about directing rewards, not governance.
> sAERO holders allocate AERO rewards to pools and earn exchange revenue in return.

The real shift is Predictive Allocation. Instead of weekly voting on past fees, sAERO holders allocate rewards in real time as revenue accrues. The system rewards those who predict future trading activity, not just last week’s performance.

Using 180 days of data from 40 top pools, 48-hour predictive signals improved on-target emissions from 48% to 70%, while off-target allocation fell from 31% to 8%. The cbBTC launch on Base confirmed it, with early allocators capturing 43% higher fees by anticipating growth.

This also enables AI agents. The team is building an agent marketplace where users choose strategies by risk profile, while Autopilot lets them delegate allocations to the team or an agent automatically.

Good allocation management can now generate higher returns than simply following the crowd.

I don't know if this will play out perfectly at scale, but I like that they're building something new. The truth will show itself on Mainnet.
