🤍 Hamin mentioned it, so i went back to watch the Lemonade again. As expected, when Hamin dances, you really have to watch his feet separately too! just watching how he uses his feet makes you realize how insanely good dancer he is. I’m not an expert, so i can’t explain it perfectly, but i feel like it’s because he pays attention to even the tiniest details in his footwork. His center of gravity is clearly kept low, so his movements feel grounded and powerful, yet somehow still so light at the same time and i think that all comes from his footwork. Anyway, that’s why i always watch Hamin’s dancing as a whole first, then watch just his feet, and then go back and watch it all over again
🖤 i practice the basics of footwork a lot in my daily routine. So usually, once paid attention to it when first learning a routine, the steps come naturally without me having to think about them afterwards🤭. Keeping your centre of gravity low is absolutely spot on👏. Your centre of gravity needs to be stable for the movements you’re trying to express to come across clearly😉. Our PLLI are absolute experts! i’m praising you!!🕺🫶

I just finished reading this article on virtual idols, and it clicked why everyone else is struggling or failing to replicate plv. We're so busy looking at the shiny things—the mocap, the graphics—but the real asset is actually the fandom's silence.

It's almost comical because, normally, we tend to act like the company dictates the world, but actually... it's a two-way street.

The worth noting part of this piece is:
The author perfectly captured that the fandom (us) know there are real people behind them, yet they (we) collectively decide to zip the mouth shut. And that isn't just being polite, but an active, strategic participation instead.
