the next social network is a prediction market where your feed is ranked by accuracy not engagement. the person who is right 80% of the time gets seen while the person who is loud gets buried
@hosseeb@tokenized_stock You helped me level up my understanding of blockchains when you built one out from scratch in Ruby. Your explanations and the simple elegance of the code demonstrated not only your crypto knowledge but also your engineering skills. Guy took a stab in the dark and clearly missed.
@alightinastorm Don't have any AI slop game output yet, but planning to get started on that with threejs soon. Here is my Unreal Engine based jamming from last year: https://t.co/rKsXJXTAe1
Can’t believe I’ve become the guy asking “no dark mode?”
It’s not table stakes for blogs, but I automatically take the site more seriously if you considered accidental flashbanging.
@badlogicgames Nice! I started multiplayer here but didn't quite bring it to the finish line. Connecting two pi terminal sessions to one agent and both seeing the messages and replies from each other worked in a barebones way: https://t.co/KW8JbpbyWG
@Cerkoryn@DaveShapi Problem with DID is that anyone can create them, even multiple. How do you verify that an identifier belongs to a real person and that the person doesnt have multiple identifiers?
Government registering your public key seems like the most likely feasible solution at the moment.
@KirkDBorne NotebookLM here for audio summary and interactive chat session about the Agentic Design Patterns (based on version from Oct 19): https://t.co/haRKDNlYmz
@cremieuxrecueil Well, respect! I had horrible fear of maggot water, didn't find the secret bench until really late, so it took me like 50 tries. Every time doing the epically long gauntlet again and again. Was really rough, but I was so relieved. Will never forget this area. What a game!
@hosseeb Tron tx fees went up significantly for around 10 months now. $1-$3 to send USDC. Their dual fuel system is also confusing to newcomers. You have limited energy per day and have to coordinate renting more and need enough left for the next tx to send USDC. ETH mainnet is cheaper.
Idea for AI chat: tap any word in a response to branch into a focused sub-conversation. Transforms linear threads into explorable knowledge graphs.
Could enhance interfaces like Open WebUI or LibreChat.

A fun thing to do when you need to wait around for a few minutes is to use your phone to ask Claude Opus the following question about some random discipline or field:
“What would you say is THE core insight or analytical trick of crystallography?”
Replace crystallography with anything you can think of. So far, I’ve tried:
QED; the Standard Model; Biochemistry; Probability; Evolutionary theory; and many more.
There’s something about forcing the model to do the impossible, to condense a vast, complex field into “one weird trick,” that makes it really search for the best deep, unifying principle in the field and then articulate it succinctly.
This tends to be something that is obvious to practitioners but very likely to be unknown by most people with just a passing interest in the subject.
Interestingly, you can also repeatedly press the “retry” button with the same prompt and sometimes get very different, but usually very fascinating, explanations.
I’ve already learned a LOT from doing this, and it might just be the highest “understanding per minute” I’ve encountered in any self-directed learning.
Because they aren’t just fun facts or cool tidbits. They’re, by construction, penetrating and unifying ideas that tie together a vast amount of theory and observed phenomena in the world.
It’s certainly a lot more high-bandwidth than watching yet another YouTube explainer video with animations and ads for Brilliant/KiwiCo! Not that there’s anything wrong with those.
@dcinvestor It is BG3 level I would say. I find both RPGs accessible in terms of getting the point across, but yea they require some time investment, there is no way around reading a lot, both in terms of abilities to build and use characters, and also to have meaningful conversations.
