@cryptocardsone 🧵5:Would I use it again? Most definitely, it works out quite well for Ecommerce and one-off app purchases, with FX costs relatively small.
Some virtual cards I came around declined this type of purchases, I feel flex card is a best of fit since it covers most payments in Kenya
@cryptocardsone 🧵4: I noted that even though there were no errors/card failure issues, Jumia purchase took more steps than Google wallet. Both charges brought about 124 KES/USD, which is fair in comparison with the current market rate.
@cryptocardsone 🧵3: Jumia; Items cost a total of KES 1346, entered the card details manually, and got directed to Paystack merchant which processes Jumia payments with Visa cards locally.
Charged at $10.83 leaving a balance of $19.18.
@cryptocardsone 🧵2: Topup; my balance fell to $10.26 so I funded $20 and it landed as $19.75(approx. 1.25% fee).
Resulting to a new balance $30.01 which should be enough for Jumia purchases.
@cryptocardsone 🧵1: Google Play; started with a card balance of $20.74. Az recorder cost KES 1300. I paid with the card already added to google wallet and was successful first time, charged $10.48. (I wanted to record Jumia checkout without ads so I bought AZ Pro version😁)
