🚨UPDATE: After some digging, I finally found the video from six years ago of Senator Fischer being sworn in by Mike Pence, with her husband by her side. To my expectations, after the oath, her husband gleefully shook Pence’s hand and thanked him for his leadership. Before they left, he shook his hand again.
Given his refusal to shake Vice President Harris's hand today, I suspected him of being a bigot. Now, I’m certain.
Beginning to understand why so many Americans are obsessed with trans issues and panicking about being replaced. They think there are 21x more trans people, 27x more muslims, 15x more jews, 5x more asians, 3x more black people, and 2x more immigrants than there actually are.
I've been thinking about this a lot in regard to the amount of surprise and shock my fellow Democrats are expressing. I'll get around to articulating why appropriately. But it's been playing in my head a lot as a metaphor
I see a lot of this out there.
I understand and share the basic sentiment,

we really do have to learn how to be neighbors
