@TimKipchumba No subsidy is sustainable.The securitization of fuel levies gave the government no room to absorb such shocks. The govt has to make a trade-off on whether we need a crisis of expensive food which will be worse. The political class should also cut displaying opulence.

@KOhawa @SakajaJohnson This problem is bigger than any individual. It's a systemic issue and instead of all of us whining we need to make difficult decisions for the sake of next generation. This may mean being very firm on eliminating structures on waterways and voting out incompetence in 2027.
