Name changing will not bring in development and you well know it. It is also not for administrative purposes name changing is pertinently needed.

It is to please a section of people, that's the end note and you have excelled in this art too.

That's needed but there is a limit.

Karimganj district you have arbitrarily renamed as Sribhumi, have you consulted the local population. You did so because you have to juggle out the hindutwa sentiments.

It has become a norm, an unwritten code of conduct for govt officials to visit religious institutions of their faith immediately after reaching their destination on official visits.

How is it permissible for them, one can ponder and there can be no justifying reasons for such religious visits during official tours. It's an unhealthy precedent no doubt, but it is gaining momentum as of now and sooner such unofficial visits will be codified.

They could had visited religious places as per their wish while taking a private trip.
The explanation by them for wasting public money on such religious visits will convince the audit authorities. And hence the fear for accountability doesn't arises and hence they flauntingly do so.
