@puntlandupdate We want more warehouses and manufacturing facilities in puntland, but you’re right it’s equally important to have access to the beach. Business parks?
@S_Ali0011 It’s symbolic in nature
Most countries today operate flag carriers for symbolic reason while protecting the overall aviation industry. Today we have 10s of local airline companies. The bigger question should be how do we bring back the flag carrier and grow the existing industry
@ina_galayr@HESaidADeni He’s doing an incredible job for our country. Simple as that. Once he completes the Gracad- Goldogob highway he’ll gain even more support from reer Mudug. He’s working on completing the Ceel dahir- Cerigabo highway. He’s cleaning Galkacyo and Bosaso🙏🏾 just needs to create jobs📈

I hate to say it, but Puntland has now become “the establishment” majority of Somalis are now opposed to anything our elites/politicians bring to the table. Time to build more leverage either through military means or soft power.
Good article. South and central Somalia would like to go back to a centralized system where everything goes through xamar.
On the other side you have Somaliland clearly pursuing separation from anything Somalia. Then there’s Puntland; stuck in the middle. Federalism didn’t work.
I doubt that confederalism would work. The minds of the people in South and Central Somalia simply cannot comprehend such complex system. They want a simple ⚫️⚪️ system where the government is powerful. Even better if you have a populist at the head.
