🚨 SENTENCED: 15-year-old asks his teacher to check his homework, then stabs her in the head. She runs into the hallway holding the knife.

He didn’t snap. He planned this.

VICKI WILLIAMS taught history at Milford Haven Comprehensive in Wales. Feb. 5. The 15-year-old closed the door, pulled a kitchen knife from his bag, and used it.

She took the blade off him and ran into the hallway still holding it. He left the school. Police arrested him later that day.

A jury said not attempted murder. Wounding with intent. 4½ years.

The judge said he brought the knife because he wanted to hurt her. She told the court she does not think she can be that teacher again.

A classroom is where she was supposed to be safe. He used the homework as an excuse to stab his teacher.

This reminds me of a couple classes I took in college, one on Western history and one on comparative religion. Both taught me that from about 700-1400 CE, religious and cultural minorities and academics fled to seek asylum in Spain, as it was under Islamic rule at the time, and was a safe place to go whereas everywhere else in Europe, the Christian Church was murdering people left and right for any deviation from the Church's doctrine.
