@mikoyne@the_transit_guy I drove from Portland Oregon to Portland Maine and back last summer/fall. Then to San Diego, New Mexico, and back to Portland this spring. The point was to see the in between.
@markasaurus It's tacky, but I have one window that gets no shade at all so I used aluminum foil to cover it. My electric usage dropped immediately. I'd love something that looked good to block the sun instead.
I just heard a crash so I walked over to see if everyone was okay. It was the most wholesome car crash I've seen: nobody was angry, just grateful everyone was okay.
@uriahz@markasaurus Since the pandemic started I work from home and bought a car. It takes three times as long to take the bus or MAX. The few times I go to the office I'll pay for parking now.
I'm not sure how TriMet can deal with the scale that's happening.
@markasaurus@byJoshuaDavis I might be wrong, but I was told part of it was safety standards (but for structural reasons), some for aerodynamics. I have no idea if that's for real, but the guy who told me that had worked for Daimler and it made some sense.
