@esidewalkitout I agree in the big scheme. But not sure what to do in elections now considering in most US elections it's the D or the R. I'm a big fan of and wonder if a different voting system like ranked choice or approval voting (much simpler) could spur more wins from 3rd parties.

@esidewalkitout I don't think any of Biden's more ambitious campaign promises are likely. We've known since the Nov election that the Democrats only have the narrowest of margins - and anyone following federal politics also knows the "D" congressional members are far from unified in vision.

@CitImmCanada According to the processes released today for extended family members to visit Canadian citizens, it is unclear how a US citizen must request "written authorization from IRCC" upon completing the IMM-0006 form. US citizens do not apply for visitor visas nor eTAs.

@EWDurbin I was thinking on this last night. I agree the bike ride gets high marks for visibility. It's easy. It was well organized. People like riding bikes. It didn't feel dangerous.

But there could be a bike ride like that every weekend and it won't lead to meaningful change.
