I tried doing a couple things, but really I wanted to more closely look at the issue of Nastya’s worldview and what would be the confusion after being saved, and setup for what would come after this.
@soryukano@bennythehorizon Also he can cheese steep slopes if you fly without sprinting into the walls, its an absolute lifesaver on places that don’t let you climb or to not have spend regular stamina
@ALegendarySol@LittleRedhoodd They literally went “Nastya has made her choice”, to a little kid that knows nothing but a cult btw. But like ohh if its Hu Tao in Springtime charms, or Xiao at the chasm, or Furina during her SQ, or Mavuika post natlan AQ, ohh now we dont care about choices.
@DomSumFeltora@LittleRedhoodd I always thought that like talking an cult indoctrinated kid like Nastya to get her to ask for help was really dumb, because the answer would always be very obvious. I had like this comic I made where the traveler doesn’t try to reason and like the effects of it and all
@wrioteasly Yeah exactly, I actually had like this entire comic I made on like basically a what if where the quest actually cares about Nastya more than just as like exposition and world building tragedy. Like actually exploring the idea of her getting saved with the good and the hard, etc
@wrioteasly It creates an inconsistency because for some reason when its folks like Mavuika at the end of the Natlan AQ or even Ikhor in that exact same WQ line, we risk everything to save them. But for Nastya, a kid who could have an entire life. No, we literally ratify that “choice”
@wrioteasly Right but that doesn’t make it right. The traveler and paimon have some of the most broken contact lists, and they have helped older folks who knew they were self destroying themselves, even when they also didn’t ask for help. Like Hu Tao in springtime charms or Xiao at the chasm
@ChrisEnvelope@chawansui_013 True the quest was really annoying in how it basically forced that ending, I had done like a whole comic on the traveler doing the opposite of what had actually gone down
For this set interiority was like a big factor I wanted to see, its why the pacing is a lot more unique than the first part. Obviously this is not where the story would end as I had it thought…
