@lilmoemusic@douglassmackey Different states have different statutory guidelines for self defense claims. There really isn’t an “absolute” right to stand your ground. It’s still largely contextual and has legal standards that apply.
If I pinch you and giggle, you can’t just shoot me in the face.
@douglassmackey I can only conclude that the defense already knew they would lose the jury trial and their only path was on some procedural grounds on appeal. I just cannot understand their direct strategy, as it seems there is none.
Baffling
@inthablack_23@tariqnasheed What I am saying is that I have a hard time watching these videos. I recoil in disgust at their mannerisms and patterns of speech. It’s offputting is all I am saying
@inthablack_23@tariqnasheed It’s just weird that like two of his most recent touted sources are homosexual pederasts. I woulda thought Tariq of all people would eschew promoting such degenerates.
A man finished a $57 meal at an airport restaurant and tried to walk out without paying.
He claimed a friend nearby would cover the bill, but the friend was nowhere to be found. Staff called officers after he refused to pay or provide ID/collateral.
The man argued loudly, insisted the staff had agreed to his story beforehand, demanded officers go find his friend, and repeatedly talked over them while denying he was trying to dine and dash. Officers gave him multiple chances to settle up.
When he kept trying to leave and refused to cooperate, he was detained and arrested for theft. The restaurant chose to press charges.
Outcome: He was taken into custody after the failed attempt.
@KinngVenable@MaryAnnreports He wasn’t intellectually capable of understanding the consequences of his actions.
He was a SPED kid who probably had FAS. Best guess is that Karmelo Anthony has an IQ of 68. His mental retardation is the most mitigating factor in this case, and could be leveraged for acquittal.
