We couldn't agree more, Oliver. Symmetrical 10 Gig fiber can be a game-changer for remote work, whether it's for video conferencing, large file transfers, cloud backups, or supporting an entire household of connected devices. We're excited to be bringing that kind of connectivity to more communities, including Mill Valley.
We’re expanding our 10 Gig Fiber Internet to Mill Valley! Engineering, constructing, and delivering a 10 Gig Fiber network isn't easy, but seeing the impact we make in the community makes it all worth it. Ready for us, Mill Valley? 😊
Pre-orders are available now; check your address today: https://t.co/L9T8nsrraN
@QuinnyPig Thanks for the love, Corey! We're glad you're enjoying Sonic, and we're working to bring 10 Gig to more neighborhoods as we continue expanding.
@Umbrablackfolkz We hear you! We're working hard to expand our fiber network, and we truly appreciate your patience and enthusiasm. Hopefully, we'll have good news for your address before long.
Thanks for the enthusiasm! We're already serving portions of Alameda and would love to connect even more neighbors across the island. If you haven't already, check your address at https://t.co/7v7zdY5uwq and register your interest if service isn't available yet. We truly appreciate the support and hope to reach your neighborhood in the future!
Hi there! We'd be happy to take a closer look. While 10 Gig service is available in parts of San Francisco, availability can vary by neighborhood and even block, depending on the infrastructure serving a specific area. Send us a DM with your address, and we'll check what's available today. We appreciate your patience and would love to help you get the most accurate information.
We're here to provide some clarification.
5G sounds like 5 Gig, but that’s where the similarities end.
In addition to the difference in speed, 5G internet relies on cellular towers, so your service reliability will vary more due to signal and congestion. 5G upload speeds are also usually much slower than download speeds, whereas Sonic Fiber is symmetrical, meaning the upload and download speeds are comparable.
(P.S. We don’t offer 5 Gig, but we’ve got symmetrical 10 Gig Fiber-optic internet, which is up to twice as fast. 😊)
Hi there. We checked with our outage team and can confirm that a fiber strand serving part of the area was damaged, which is impacting service for members. Our team also reports that outage communications should have been sent to affected accounts, but we'd like to make sure you're included and receiving the latest updates. Please take a look at our DM and respond with your service address when you have a moment. We'll be happy to verify that your account is tied to the affected area and ensure you're getting the most accurate information available.
Hi there. We're definitely not trying to hide anything, and we're sorry to hear you're experiencing a service issue. Outages can sometimes be isolated to a specific area, piece of equipment, or group of addresses, so we'd like to take a closer look before making any assumptions. We've sent you a DM to gather some details and investigate further.
@jamiequint Thanks for the shoutout, Jamie! We're honored to be part of the conversation. Providing fast, reliable internet is exactly what we're aiming for, and we're grateful to everyone who chooses to support us.
We totally understand the frustration of paying for a service that isn't delivering the experience you expect. If you're exploring your options, we'd be happy to see whether Sonic is available at your address and help you compare what's available. Feel free to send us a DM, and we'll take a look. Thanks for considering us! 💙

Tomorrow, October 13, is the deadline to submit comments to save E-Rate. ⬇️
Under E-Rate, eligible schools and libraries that go through the mandated bidding and approval process receive discounts for internet services, equipment, and licensing. This ensures they can operate effectively while providing a modern education to our kids.
Currently, E-Rate supports more than 100,000 schools and roughly 11,000 libraries. The FCC is questioning whether to end it.
The loss of E-Rate funding would have a devastating impact across our country. Without it, schools would need to make cuts in other areas to make up for the increased cost of internet and network equipment.
This could mean reduced staff, increased classroom sizes, and school programs and services being eliminated left and right. And for some schools, the end of E-rate could mean bankruptcy.
We’re making our voice heard on this matter, and we urge you to do the same. Let the FCC know why E-rate matters to you today, before the Tuesday, October 13th deadline: https://t.co/GVtRfIUfpH.
Let’s save E-Rate for our kids and our communities before it’s too late.
@TomsXSoCal That's awesome! Thank you so much for your early support! If you ever want an update on our progress in your area, feel free to shoot us a DM with your address, and we can help.
@mertcal@stefanoscalia Of course! Happy to answer any other questions or provide a more detailed update in the future since we have access to our engineering maps. But if we do expand to your neighborhood, we'll make sure to let you know!
@zjpea Thanks for reaching out! While we don't have plans to expand to Cole Valley today, we are continually assessing new areas for fiber. Some areas do pose more challenges for expansion than others, but we're keeping our eyes and ears peeled.
@mertcal@stefanoscalia Hey Mert! We offer service in portions of Menlo Park, but we're disappointed that we haven't reached you yet. If you'd like to DM us your address, we can take a closer look at your neighborhood and provide an update.
Hi, Brian! Thanks so much for pre-ordering with us! Your support means the world. We're building our own fiber network from the ground up; this is not easy work, and we can hit roadblocks along the way. If you’d like to DM us your address, we’d be happy to take a deeper look into your neighborhood’s progress and provide additional information.
We completely understand where you're coming from, Cody, and we can see why it feels that way from the outside. When you've been hearing about future upgrades, it's natural to look at other initiatives and wonder what that means for 10 Gig. The truth is, we don't have a timeline to share for your area today, but we are working on it. If we did, we'd rather be upfront about it than leave you guessing. What we can say is that discussions around product options in existing 1 Gig markets and the work related to 10 Gig upgrades aren't one-or-the-other decisions. They're separate efforts that are moving forward at the same time. We know that's probably not the concrete update you're hoping for, and we genuinely appreciate you continuing to share your perspective. Feedback like yours helps keep us accountable, and we’ll be passing it along to the appropriate team.
Hey, Bay Area! As part of our ongoing expansion efforts, we're officially bringing Sonic 10 Gig Internet to Martinez, CA.
Pre-orders are open today. Check availability at https://t.co/FYpLR4kmIX. We can’t wait to get you connected 😊 Stay tuned for more announcements...
