The rug pull with zero notice and a simultaneous 5x price increase was really poorly done. Sure, double the price, but provide a month or two of notice.

@InfuriatedUSPat @Starlink …then a month or so later they reduced it to $200. They would never refunded my prepaid month that they took away, just issued a credit, which they slowly take back at $5/months for having a dormant account. Equipment cost is lost too. Starlink cannot be trusted.

We're here to provide some clarification.

5G sounds like 5 Gig, but that’s where the similarities end.

In addition to the difference in speed, 5G internet relies on cellular towers, so your service reliability will vary more due to signal and congestion. 5G upload speeds are also usually much slower than download speeds, whereas Sonic Fiber is symmetrical, meaning the upload and download speeds are comparable.

(P.S. We don’t offer 5 Gig, but we’ve got symmetrical 10 Gig Fiber-optic internet, which is up to twice as fast. 😊)

Instant limitation to 100mph, far slower than the aircraft we all were using the terminals in. To regain access we had to send a copy of a US Passport and agree to pay 5x the prior price. 🤬
