@bgardner Worst decision of my life. Dry eyes does not begin to describe the pain of having your eyelids stick to your eyeballs every night, can never rub my eyes again for the REST OF MY LIFE, and constant pain of about a 5 that sometimes shoots upto 9/10. Don’t do it.
@iproposethis I can get behind, that’s okay. If I do more than 5, I get ahead - great! But only 5 a day. This keeps my house at least reasonable.
Also, I have 2 roombas, and deploy them as “easy” chores. They don’t do a perfect job, but I have 5 familiars, so better than not vacuuming at all.
@iproposethis I’m so NOT that person, so here is a strategy I came up with that works for me. I must do 5 chores a day. Any five. Anything counts. Busy work day, I might do simple chores (sweep the stairs, empty compost, etc.) I post each after I complete it. 1/
@ChrisAlvino And down the autism rabbit hole I went. Turns out, I am *not* the only person who stands in front of the mirror practicing what to say when people talk to you and how to make the “right” kind of expressions while talking. 😂
@ChrisAlvino I’ve worked to hard to explain my “quirky” sensory stuff to my family so that they will be considerate about things like “loud noises literally feel like I am being stabbed in the eardrum”. Then my adult son sent me a video about auditory processing disorder,
@RobinIller@margosteines Also, that’s an extra step for them, and they are very crunched for time, so they are not going to offer a choice. Getting you to comply is quicker and easier.
@RobinIller@margosteines Most of them do - to be clear, they require it of the doctor, not you. And their leverage is that they won’t pay if the doctor doesn’t comply.
@margosteines@RobinIller Think about any OTC med - let’s say Tylenol. The package gives you a child dosage and an adult dosage - nothing to do w weight. It’s called “dose to efficacy”.
