According to the announcement, the Trump operation plans to deploy lawyers to monitor voter machine testing, early voting, election day voting, mail ballot processing and post-election canvassing, auditing and recounts. The campaign also plans to station lawyers at mail-in voting processing centers and set up a hotline that poll watchers and voters can use to report problems.

A councilman from suburban New York faces charges for allegedly submitting election petitions with fraudulent signatures, including those of three deceased individuals, according to prosecutors and a news report.

Rob Scott, 44, a Democrat on the Peekskill Common Council, is accused of handing in a 2023 petition for a county lawmaker seat with signatures from individuals who passed away in 2012, 2017, and 2022, as reported by the Rockland/Westchester Journal News.

Additionally, eight people listed in the 37-page petition claimed they had never signed it. These names, along with the deceased individuals’ signatures, were among the 537 that Scott purportedly certified as having personally witnessed.
