@NilsPuck@Duima6@RasmusBoysen92 Do what? Ask EHF to change something after it has been decided? Despite years of criticism? Let's leave the responsibility where it belongs. It is not his job to speak on this forehand. He is speaking on this now on the behalf of his team, because they are living it right now.
@NilsPuck@Duima6@RasmusBoysen92 What difference does it make? The result is the same. A burning dumpster is burning dumpster regardless of how long it has been burning. EHF is not changing the schedule after it is announced. This has been criticized for years. They are fully aware, that is the point.
@lasselundhansen@RasmusBoysen92 It is the finals, not the prelim or main round. The fans will travel for that. But we will never know because of the format.
@lasselundhansen@RasmusBoysen92 I am sure the Danes will continue to be great supporters. I am not criticizing the home fans. It should not be up to chance of location if the hall is empty or not.
I can really understand the Croatian frustration with EHF.
First, they – together with Iceland – had to play decisive matches on back-to-back days.
Then they – again together with Iceland – had to spend a full travel day getting to Denmark, including a five-hour bus ride (picture).
Then, as the only semifinal team, they were placed 40 kilometers away from the arena.
This is nothing new. There are often major differences in scheduling and conditions at these championships.
The European Handball Federation simply has to ensure sporting fairness. Unfortunately, sporting fairness remains in short supply – both at major tournaments and in European club competitions….
