@officialepfo Despite digital initiatives, EPFO processes remain fragmented. Each regional PF office follows its own rules, forcing citizens to make physical visits across cities for basic issues like UAN/PF resolution. Request true centralisation and uniform processes for EPFO

@WMalekar @MohiniWealth There is no online process for this and many people I know are stuck because the EPF office will make you run from pillar to post and not process offline cases
@ICICIBank This is unacceptable. I requested only a bank account, but your branch opened a 3-in-1 and a Demat without my consent. Charges were deducted without informing me, and even after several closure requests, nothing has been resolved. Refund my money and close the Demat
This government has gone crazy. How can you say stamp duty is not part of the cost of a house? Having removed indexation benefits, the least government could have done is to allow stamp duty and interest as part of cost. Not including stamp duty further increases the tax rate. Very bad @narendramodi and @nsitharaman .
Dear All,
@IncomeTaxIndia, under the capable leadership of @nsitharaman, is trying to convince everyone that the reduced LTCG rate of 12.5% without indexation is beneficial. Yes, they are correct, but only if you make windfall gains. A quick look at this example will reveal the truth.
Consider the same case we demonstrated earlier. If you bought an apartment for ₹50 lakhs fifteen years ago, and sell it today, you'll only make a profit after accounting for inflation if you sell it for ₹1.32 crores. Earlier, you didn't have to pay any taxes, but now you'll have to pay ₹10.32 lakhs even if you didn't make any profit. So, to break even, you actually need to sell at ₹1.43 crores.
With the old method, you would pay lesser taxes up to ₹2.7 crores. The new method is beneficial only if you sell for more than ₹2.7 crores. From there, the more profit you make, the less tax you pay. Are you confident of selling your property at 5.4x value in fifteen years in the current Indian market?
“For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away."
This is the new LTCG policy in a nutshell.
