Trading became consistently profitable the day I stopped chasing money and stopped thinking about win rate.
I stopped asking how much I made today.
I started asking only one question: Did I find the 1 to 2 best trades of the day to execute?
That’s the entire game.
Execute better than yesterday.
Every session.
For a full month.
No scoreboard.
No counting wins.
No forcing a 3rd trade because the day, the week, or the month “needs” it.
1 to 2 best trades. Repeat. Twenty sessions.
Some months that process gave me 60–70% and huge money.
Some months only 45% and I still made money.
You don’t get to decide the size of the month.
You only get to decide the quality of the execution.
Once I tasted the fruits of that consistency, impulsiveness and greed had nowhere left to live.
Process first.
Results have no choice but to follow.
@iamJMinx Those assholes at Lucid blocked my country, which I could overlook, but they literally screwed me out of my payouts for 5 х 25k funded accounts AND didn't even refund the 5 new evaluation accounts.
@_interbank Thanks for the $GBPJPY call - entered early with a wide stop-loss to ride out the drawdown and grabbed some profit on my deep-drawdown CFD-prop accounts!
What separates good from great?💆♂️
Those who treat this as a profession are the ones who become professionals.
When this is your job, you shed the skin of bad habits fast. You drop inefficient thought processes. You refine. You adapt. You evolve.
Professionals understand something simple...
An accountant doesn’t jump with joy doing a double-entry system.A dentist doesn’t celebrate a filling.
It’s your job. Do your job. Get better at your job. That’s it.
The only thing I’ve consistently noticed that separates a decent trader from a Goliath is this: the Goliath has their finger on the pulse of everything.
They know where equities are trading.
They know fixed income, commodities, and volatile.
They know what macro data has been and what’s coming.
They see how price behaviour reflects incoming orderflow and can read how that’s likely to translate to the next moment pre/post catalyst.
There’s a lot that goes into that. But if you’re only focused on a single lens one dimensional in your market view you’ll almost always be overshadowed by those with a broader, more horizontal perspective.
Also there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being a good trader. Making £5–10k a month from prop firms, having time freedom, trading from your home setup or a small office that’s more than most could ever dream of.
But what truly separates good from great..I’m talking about the gap between retail traders managing a few hundred thousand (mostly B-booked) and the ones running full-scale operations managing $1m+ and clearing six figures.
Shorted $MES with 2 micros & closed at NY Midnight - calling it a day here.
Shifting focus from outcome to process.
1-2 trades max per day.
1-2 micros max per trade.
6 months locked in.
August recap on my Tradeify S2F account:
12 green days (+4.17%)
8 red days (-2.5%)
Netting +1.66%
Mostly traded $MNQ in AM-sessions.
Passed 2 MFFU evals.
Mid-month, I blew my Growth eval - focused on PnL over process, and failed starting from 52835.
Grateful for the lesson.
Your path to consistent trading,
One year done this way can change everything
First: Set your goals properly
When you ask someone what their goals are for their trading, you will most often get the response that they want to make a certain amount of money in a year or be profitable by a certain date. This is a direct path to guaranteeing that those things are never achieved. Goals should not be final outcomes, they should be the actionable steps you need to take every day to actually reach those desired outcomes. Instead you need a defined process that can be followed every day which will naturally lead you to progressing in the right direction. Once your goals are set to be process-oriented, all the outcomes you are striving for will just become a byproduct of the actions that you take. The next four points will give you the foundation of what to focus on in your goals.
Second: Refine one system
There is one thing that cannot be cheated in trading and that is experience. No one else can hand it to you. The single requirement for building proper experience is consistently working with one system. One system that focuses on a very specific type of move in the market and ignores anything else. Repetition with the same logic in the charts is one of the most important aspects of trading as it builds intuition and proper decision-making when it comes time to execute. Those are skills that go beyond the basics of price concepts and can really only be understood by yourself through experience. Any time you reset to a new concept or strategy, you are also resetting your level of experience that you were previously establishing. Always be more willing to refine and less willing to add. Your goal with this is to be the best at one thing, because being average at a lot of things is not good enough for trading.
Third: Focus on mistakes
Your trading is a constant reflection of how you manage mistakes. You will inevitably make mistakes both small and large, but it is about how you address them that makes the difference. The majority of traders will start by avoiding their own mistakes because of the discomfort it brings to confront them. This is a path that eventually leads to bad habits and issues that become too large to ignore any longer which is where most will quit and some will choose to make a change. You need to remove your ego and redefine your relationship with your own mistakes because they are a gold mine for making significant progress and improvements. Every time you correct a mistake, you know without any doubt that it will bring improvement to your trading. Do not run away from the discomfort of addressing your own mistakes, jump on the opportunity to become a better trader. This in itself can change everything.
Fourth: Trade with intention
Finding consistency in trading is one of the most difficult things to achieve which is attempted by many while taken seriously by very few. There is a complete disconnect between expectations of easy money and the actual work required to make trading work. For that reason it becomes easy to aimlessly go through the motions each trading day leaving you with no real progress ever being made as time passes by. Everything you do for your own trading should be done with a certain level of intention. Execute with intention by always having a defined plan and fully committing to it. Journal with intention by never skipping a review on any trades. Be patient with intention by not being fazed about what the market does as you wait. Correct mistakes with intention by working through the discomfort. When you never allow yourself to lose sight of these things, you will always be putting your best effort forward. Anything less is wasted time.
Fifth: Journal your trades
If you have read to this point that means you have actionable goals, are working with one system, have focus on correcting personal mistakes, and approach your trading with real intention. You can now take each of those things and start effective journaling which brings everything together. Journaling is all about self-reflection. While collecting data points is helpful, the real purpose is for dedicating time to actively reflect and review your decisions made during the trading day. This is where you will find your mistakes to correct, parts of your system to refine, and strengths to build on. Every trade, whether a win or a loss, has something of value to take from it which is only brought to light through journaling. It is the boring and repetitive, yet indisputable part of trading.
You now have everything you need so that is what I will leave you on for this year. Trading begins again next week, that is where taking action on these things begins.

Your determination is truly inspiring, and I'm rooting for you both!❤️
