"A presence meant to calm and soothe, forget the void of living without the sound of children’s laughter

Four years lost since my ovarian cancer diagnosis; These mobiles no longer inspire me"

Wrote a short piece on Jewish and Jew-ish musicians in Chicago, featuring some of the best, including my husband! https://t.co/mYr1hsG3Pt

Feeling like a real international writer now that this Canadian based magazine edited my piece to read “neighbourhood” instead of “neighborhood!”

In my latest essay, I explore the fragile work life balance that comes with seeking ongoing fertility treatment while working full time and how the workplace flexibilities due to the pandemic made it more manageable. @TheMuse Read it online at https://t.co/PIWtOFEWaS

A truly meaningful collaboration for me; I’m glad we were able to memorialize the experience in this conversation.

I’ve been working on a novel since July, but hit a wall 100 pages in around October. So excited to start Jumpstart Your Novel @StoryStudio with @bhurley on Monday and get writing again.

[Soraya Fata @sorayafata]

@MJayWrite No, but if you need some inspiration I’ve been and have photos and stories.

[Soraya Fata @sorayafata]

@adamm0rgan @StoryStudio This all makes sense. I’m excited to get started. Hopefully, I’ll be tagging you in a @ChicagoRevBooks publication next!

[Soraya Fata @sorayafata]

I virtually met @adamm0rgan at the @StoryStudio Writers Festival this year and his session on culture criticism was one of my favorites. My one outstanding question is, how long until a book, film, tv show or music album is stale and no longer of interest to publications?

Ep 12: Adam Morgan @adamm0rgan, Founder of @ChicagoRevBooks, and Todd Van Luling @toddvanluling, Incoming Editor-in-Chief, on Writing Great Book Reviews, Bylines, and Getting Started with Culture Criticism https://t.co/aN8ejTNEg9

[Soraya Fata @sorayafata]

@adamm0rgan @StoryStudio Brilliant! Thanks for sharing this resource. Is the correct order of things: request review copy, read book, make your pitch and then write the review or do you somehow make the pitch before reading the book? You might need to offer an advanced course on logistics!

[Soraya Fata @sorayafata]

@adamm0rgan @StoryStudio Perfect! I’m going to scope out soon to be published books and get working on my pitches! I’m reading a lot of great books at the moment, but nothing new.

[Soraya Fata @sorayafata]

Read my critique of the Israeli TV Series Tehran in ⁦⁦@jdforward⁩. It’s eerily relevant given recent events around Iran's top nuclear scientist. Thank you ⁦@adamm0rgan⁩ and ⁦@StoryStudio⁩ for helping me become a cultural critic. https://t.co/69yOfRgLql
