7/ keyboard and desk knocks end up below -80 db with both models, you don't hear them either way. the difference is whispers and throat sounds, and it's been running live on my mic since.
code is bsd, weights are cc by-nc (part of the whispers came from meta's expresso dataset). windows vst2 plugin + checkpoint in the release, works in equalizer apo, obs or any vst2 host
1/ last month i used claude code (@claudeai) to fine-tune a neural network for my mic. not prompt it, not wrap it in an app: it retrained the actual weights of rnnoise, the small denoiser that runs inside a lot of voice apps. i didn't write a line of the ml code. it's open source: https://t.co/23VnGhrQTc
6/ results on recordings the model never saw in training, vs official rnnoise:
whisper frames kept: 53% -> 76%
throat clearing, coughs, sighs, claps: -44 db -> -74 db
breathing through my live mic chain: -49 db -> -80 db
same model size, same cpu cost
BREAKING: 🇸🇪 Swedish grocery giant ICA, one of Sweden's largest supermarket chains, says several of its stores have been hit by a cyberattack overnight, causing refrigerators and freezers to be remotely set to 50°C.
The incident has likely resulted in large quantities of food spoiling. Multiple stores, including ICA Kvantum in Sjöbo and Tomelilla, have reported being affected.
ICA says stores will remain closed during the morning and are expected to reopen at 9:00 a.m. Swedish time.
The company has apologized to customers and says it is working to restore normal operations.
The incident comes amid a wave of cyberattacks targeting businesses recent weeks, following similar incidents reported in France and the United States.
