This is the reality of development - grass mown to 1cm and mole traps. The field behind set to be developed full of clover , birds foot trefoil , self heal, buttercups, cuckoo flower, cowslips, ox eye daisy.

Yellow milk vetch ( atragalus boeticus) - very few records on NBN and little info found on internet ? I’ve never noticed before - near SSSI. Put on irecord @Blysmus

Phew - was getting concerned that hadnt spotted any yet this year but our x3 local Orchids are on show - Common Spotted , Pyramidal and Bee😃

Remember that bare patch of ground after SGN gas works . Planted with native wildflower seed and looking extra glorious today - went to film a sparrow on the docks ! Bees loving the weld @RosalindRogers

@HeadingtonNews @RosalindRogers Thanks. Am aware Wick Farm on SODC Strat 13 green belt but making point for phase 2 and 4 for Barton Park OCC development as per forthcoming planning meeting and quoting that planning policy. Birds don’t differentiate between admin boundaries !

@HeadingtonNews @RosalindRogers Additional boxes and bricks should therefore be incorporated into Phases 2 and 4. In addition, specific details were requested of the type of boxes to be delivered. Further details were received of 20 bat boxes/tubes and 70 bird boxes and this has now been resolved,

This represents a marked decrease on the rate of provision in Phase 1, in which 20 bat boxes/tubes were installed and “70 opportunities” for nesting birds delivered. the total box
