@TTU_86@bmoore3vfl Notice the classlessness of the Texas Tech posters' comments -- it's a personal insults (no logic, no arguments). Doesn't reflect well on the already notoriously low admission standards at TTU. UCF, TCU, and Baylor are the only Big 12 schools that reject a majority of applicants.
@ralphieboywvu@TheWildUte Must I lower this explanation to Sesame Street level? The AAC had low budgets, and UCF had one of the higher budgets in a low-revenue Conference. UCF got more money in a high revenue Big 12, but only HALF what legacy school got! Is that clear enough for you now?
@UCFStool Back when UCF played in the "consolation" bowl, in 2013 Fiesta Bowl in Arizona, everyone thought UCF stood for University of California at Fresno (there is a Fresno State, short of Calif State University at Fresno, where UCF's former starter went to play recently).
@UCFStool One problem: UCF main campus has never been the incorporated city of Orlando! It is 13 miles away from downtown Orlando (or up to any hour's drive during rush hour, which most of the day!).
@TrentonLuera14 It's not a "free" year. Finally, players can be paid for work 2 full-time positions: students and playing (or training year round) plus traveling far more than ever!
@JamichaelStill1 What even greater things you could do without having to through injuries much of last season! We want you back this year. Nobody with your heart.
@ouwilkins@jlkurtz@PGuy77 Perhaps that's due to the quality of life in those two college towns. Access to urban amenities (i.e., civilization) is more important in THIS CENTURY!
@jlkurtz Notice, no Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida, Penn State, Oklahoma, UCLA, USC, Arizona school, Minnesota, or Wisconsin. Miami and Oregon don't belong on the list: don't have the game attendance or donors.
@Dan_Furman How about Oviedo State U. (could be confused with Oregon St, Oklahoma St, and Buckeyes)? Or go back to FTU, since it's more of an engineer school with one of top Research Parks! Not confused with (Texas) Tech, which has no admission standards!
@uscfan981 John McKay (1960โ1975): four national championships (1962, 1967, 1972, 1974), more than Switzer, Camp, Rockne, Warner, Osborne, Royal, Wilkinson, and Meyer! Coached two Heismans: Mike Garrett and O.J. Simpson
@EricJBlevins Need to televise the trials. Could call it the "Battle of ABC (ESPN) Lawyers", just like back in the 1970s when they had battle of the Network Stars, and Howard Kossel would do commentary.
@MSRterps Speaking of Penn St, in the early 1970s, I hiked over to the game a few days before Xmas after a snow storm, official attendance charitably listed as 542; only game where players could hear all the coach's play calls!
@CollegeFBonX But how many besides UCF finished undefeated after bowls finished AND beat in their bowl the team that beat both team playing for the official national championship.
