@Eeepaa@Danya_R03@artisuch In 1992 I went to America for the first time. Then when my wife passed away, I went back there to live with my children.
But they are not my lands. I have no personal connect with those places. I need to have a personal equation with a country. That’s why I came back to India.
Rajmohan’s response, in this “historical and sociological” background, is something quite peculiar. A minister knew and read a writer in Tamil Nadu—finally, it happened. I don’t believe it has anything to do with El Niño, as somebody says.
But the old mindset and ritual still continue among writers. When A. R. Venkatachalapathy won the Sahitya Akademi Award, he requested an appointment and visited Mr. M. K. Stalin in his office, draped a shawl over the Chief Minister, and sought his blessings.
