After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good that he started
roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. The
moral: when you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.

El Niño is officially here! @NOAA National Weather Service announced today that El Niño has developed in the tropical Pacific, issuing an El Niño Advisory. They say it's expected to strengthen through fall and winter, but there's also a 63% chance the event reaches "very strong" status.
The timing is notable: 75% of the U.S. is currently experiencing dryness or drought conditions, a slight improvement from last week. But a year ago, that figure was just 48%.
A stronger El Niño could bring much-needed moisture to some drought-stricken areas. But the two areas meteorologists are still concerned about? The Pacific Northwest and parts of the South.
A severe weather outbreak is expected tomorrow afternoon, evening, and into the early overnight hours with destructive wind gusts of 80-100 mph, strong tornadoes (short window), and very large hail.
With an estimated 750,000 people coming to Seattle for the World Cup, law enforcement agencies from all over the state and region are sending officers and equipment to help monitor for bad behavior and keep people safe. https://t.co/z5wxNuSkMX

Today is National Secure Your Load Day! Every year, improper or unsecured cargo contributes to hundreds of crashes, injuries, and roadway hazards. Before you hit the road, take a few extra minutes to secure your load properly.
Use sturdy straps, ropes, or chains, cover loads with nets or tarps when needed, and double-check all tie-downs before driving. A secure load protects you, your cargo, and everyone sharing the road. Remember - safety starts before the journey begins.
Temperatures as of early Tue afternoon are already in the low 80s across NW Oregon & SW Washington, & are on track to peak in the upper 80s to low 90s.
