Israel’s Defense Minister has once again threatened unlawful force against civilians, attempting to justify violence with baseless smears. We will not be intimidated.

The 'Madleen' is a peaceful civilian vessel, unarmed and sailing in international waters with humanitarian aid and human rights defenders. This mission is independent, guided only by conscience and solidarity with Gaza.

We are currently about 160 nautical miles from Gaza. Earlier signal jamming briefly disrupted our location, but our tracker is functioning again. We remain calm and prepared in the face of possible Israeli aggression.

A good friend once attended a training session at an Israeli consulate in the US (pretending to be a Zionist). Their Israeli trainer said "10-20% of people on campus are pro-Palestinian, 10-20% are pro-Israel, what do you do about the remaining 60-80%?"

Participants eagerly said "we try to win them over"

The trainer said "no, that's the wrong strategy. You should convince them this topic is 'complicate' so they avoid it. If they insist, then shame them & ask them why they choose to focus on this topic out of all the conflicts in the world, is it because of antisemitism?"

This is Israel's propaganda in a nutshell, as we see it unfolding today. They were caught red handed murdered 35 starved Gazans seeking aid & wounding over 170. To avoid global outrage, they're denying this event ever happened or accusing Hamas of doing it, so as to make people reluctant to condemn Israel "until the facts are clear". By then, it would be too late.

This is how they crisis-managed murdering Shireen Abu Akleh, don't let them get away with it again today!

Yesterday, while paediatrician Dr Alaa was at one of the few remaining hospitals caring for sick and injured children, she received the charred bodies of 7 of her children, killed by the Israeli army. Her husband, also a doctor, and only surviving child are in critical condition. I gave testimony at the European Parliament almost one month ago. I spoke about the maimed and orphaned children I treated at that same hospital. I spoke about the hospital being hit with a drone strike while we were there killing two patients and injuring others. I spoke of impunity. I spoke of complicity. I asked "What do we tell all the children of Gaza about why we let this happen and for some, even enabled it?" and, in reference to yet another colleague, whose family had been killed "What do we tell him about why provisional measures meant to protect people like his family were just met with accelerated indiscrimite killing?".
This is utterly heartbreaking and frankly, enraging.
