Our summer ringing site at Ramsdale Golf Club has been quieter than usual, which appears to be the trend this season. However the first Tree Pipit of the year caught last weekend

Our 'hungry gap' feeding site at Elton came up with the goods on Sunday, with 50 of the target species, Yellowhammer caught amongst a mix of species. See blog! https://t.co/pfI8c24ZRL
The first winter of ringing at our new feeding site at @derbycollege Broomfield Hall was brought to a close today. A good first season with plenty of birds, rounded off with a Nuthatch today.
A few updates have been posted on our blog, including today's ringing demo for the students at @NTU_ARES. Highlights included the 5th Brambling for the site and the first Chiffchaff of the year. https://t.co/07GhdnQL6w
More details on our CR project. First few birds colour ringed over the weekend, will be interesting to see what happens once these birds disperse to breed. Funded by @EMA_Airport community fund
We have just started a new CR project looking at the distribution and survival of Goldfinch caught in the Nottingham area. We catch a lot of this species around the city and with low recapture rates we are hoping this project can give us more of an idea of what they are up to.
A busy ringing weekend for the group, with the 2nd visit to the new site at Broomfield Hall resulting in nearly 100 birds and the long-running Brackenhurst station being opened up for the winter too. More on blog! https://t.co/07GhdnQL6w @derbycollege@NTU_ARES
@ClareTempley@derbycollege Unfortunately at the moment we do not have any space to take on new trainees but keep an eye on here and if we have any opportunities I'll make sure to make people aware!
The first session at our new winter site at @derbycollege Broomfield Hall went well last weekend, with 86 birds captured, including the first Green Woodpecker caught by the group since 2018!
Always good to have a ringing recovery, especially from a site like Gedling CP where so far, not many birds ringed. This REEBU, ringed by Tom on the 29th Sept has been recaught by @Belvide_Ringers in Staffs on 23rd Oct.
New winter ringing site set up today at @derbycollege Broomfield Hall, to go with our other winter sites at NTU Brackenhurst and Elton Park Farms. Hopefully it will be a productive site
Only a handful of Tree Pipit have been ringed by SNRG in the last decade. Our site at Ramsdale Golf Club has provided some in the last few weeks, certainly one to try for some more in the future. See blog for more
Catching has been steady at our Summer ringing sites at Holme Pierrepont and Ramsdale Golf Club. Plenty of juv. warblers moving through. Read more here https://t.co/wWAoYeTrrb
A fairly quiet start to operations at our summer site at Holme Pierrepont. Report of our second visit this season can be found on our blog. It usually picks up in July and August when passage starts in earnest and there are lots of juveniles around
CES visit 3 was made at Attenborough NR on Sunday. A slow start to the season, but 5th Nuthatch of the year ringed, a species not regularly trapped by the group. First Blue Tit pulli of the year too. Read more on our blog @AttenboroughNR@Nottswildlife
