A major drug trafficking operation tied to vape shops across Northern Virginia has been dismantled following a sweeping investigation, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Authorities say the coordinated crackdown involved 20 search warrants executed across Fairfax County and Prince William County, targeting vape stores, storage units, a warehouse, a vehicle, and multiple residences.

During the March 18 operation, detectives seized large quantities of drugs, including marijuana in various forms flower, vape cartridges, pre-rolls, and edibles along with roughly 40 pounds of suspected mushroom-infused gummies, unknown pills, and unauthorized prescription medications. Two storage units alone contained “hundreds of pounds of marijuana,” police said.

The bust also led to the seizure of more than $500,000 in cash and narcotics with an estimated street value exceeding $2 million. Investigators froze 30 bank accounts connected to the organization, totaling over $100,000.

Additional assistance came from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Virginia State Police, and Arlington County Police Department.

Three Woodbridge men Omar Salim (65), Saleh Salim (36), and Saed Salim (39) were arrested and charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana and money laundering. All were later released on bond.

A follow-up search on March 21 at a Prince William County residence tied to one of the suspects uncovered additional evidence, including two rifles and four handguns.

Police say the investigation exposed a regional trafficking network operating through multiple vape shop locations, with enforcement efforts aimed at dismantling both the drug supply chain and associated financial operations.
