Toronto Ontario Canada I don’t care which level but please give me a Mamdani. I tired of these soulless capitalists in power. Let’s try socialism and actually have our taxes be used to help people not corporations and billionaires
Been seeing tweets how things have changed over the past 2-3 decades for the animation industry. The struggles everyone experiences today is very unfortunate, I can’t blame anyone for feeling super discouraged. :/
the big studio animation industry doesn't take chances on younger artists anymore but that goes hand in hand with how they also don't wanna make new shows
this video makes me so sad all i’ve ever wanted my whole entire life was to do this kind of thing and now im 24 i work at a bank and the entire world hates the arts. no one can get in the industry. what a joke

As an jobless animator who's turning 24 this year I relate HEAVILY to all the defeated responses to this. But I'd rather take this as a reminder that our talent, hard work and ideas have ALWAYS been valuable regardless of whether we can "make it" in the industry. 1/2
Yes, 15 years ago they were letting young creators make shows and green-lighting new ideas. Now, in 2026, they don’t and they’re not.
These major studios do not want creator driven content right now. They want to reboot and recycle IP. So these opportunities do not exist.
When I was 27, Cartoon Network picked up my show idea for development. Over 5 years, they tasked me & my writing partner w/building out the show into an all-ages series for HBO Max, which was new at the time. We outlined 3 full seasons complete w/designs, & then they shelved it.
