My Shia Aga Khani family chose Bharat over Pakistan in 1947. We had a choice
Islamic Pakistan or Secular India. We chose Bharat.

Today, is yet another day, I feel grateful for that decision! It will remain the best decision my family has taken till the end of existence.

As an Indian Shia Muslim, I couldn’t feel more grateful & secure for being born in here especially watching the chaos unfold with the Iran-US-Israel crisis, amid strikes and retaliation.

In India, we enjoy freedoms, stability & security - no fear of regime changes/collapses, foreign airstrikes or civilizational erasures or crazy mobs taking over seats of power with force (even if some try to provoke this)

Take a look at other Muslim nations or nations in our very neighbourhood.
The instability. The chaos. The violence.

But in Bharat 🇮🇳 - our brave Forces, our committed government under PM @narendramodi & our Holy Constitution protects us all.

It is a Suraksha Kavach far stronger than a thousand iron domes.

While vast regions of the world burns in endless conflict and radicalism, Bharat offers peace, progress and true pluralism under a stable & strong leadership.

Have always sported my signature line:

My culture is Hindu
My ideology is Bharatiya

Today, I reiterate it even more proudly.
Not as a party spokesperson.

Aadhaar to Bank Loans: How Illegal Immigrants Allegedly Infiltrated Karnataka’s System

@Puneeth74353549 has exposed a deeply alarming issue regarding the manner in which illegal immigrants are reportedly residing in Karnataka, particularly in Bengaluru and several other parts of the state. According to the claims brought to light, individuals who are alleged to be illegal immigrants from Bangladesh are not only living in the city but have also managed to obtain critical Indian identity and financial documents.What is even more disturbing is that these individuals are said to possess Aadhaar cards, birth certificates, PAN cards, voter ID cards, bank passbooks, and in some cases have even secured loans from multiple banks. This raises a serious and unavoidable question: how is such large-scale infiltration happening despite multiple layers of verification and security checks?
The alleged ease with which essential government documents are being obtained points toward systemic loopholes, possible corruption, negligence, or misuse of authority within the verification process.this is not a minor administrative lapse but a grave national security concern. Documents like Aadhaar and voter IDs are meant only for Indian citizens and are directly linked to welfare schemes, financial systems, and democratic processes. Any misuse of these systems undermines the integrity of the nation.
Unchecked illegal immigration can have serious consequences, including pressure on public resources, distortion of electoral rolls, financial fraud, and potential security risks. No sovereign nation can afford to ignore such threats. This issue demands urgent and transparent investigation by central and state authorities, including intelligence agencies, document-issuing bodies, and financial institutions.Necessary action must be taken strictly as per law, including verification drives, cancellation of fraudulently obtained documents, fixing accountability of officials involved, and deportation of illegal immigrants after due legal process.This is not about targeting any country, but about protecting national security, rule of law, and the rights of legitimate citizens. Silence or inaction on such serious allegations will only embolden illegal networks and weaken public trust. The authorities must act decisively and transparently in the interest of the nation.

Social media can be a powerful force for good when used intentionally.

Caleb Friesen’s viral video highlighting the broken footpath on Indiranagar Double Road in Bengaluru led to the authorities (@BCCCofficial and @GBA_office) fixing the issues within days.

The video showed that social media can drive real change in public infrastructure. @caleb_friesen’s approach (clear visuals, before-and-after style, tagging relevant officials, and engaging content) amplified the issue, unlike local complaints.

The brutal mob killing of a Hindu man in Bangladesh, captured on video, is deeply shocking and must be condemned. This incident is part of a broader pattern of attacks on religious minorities documented by the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, with 2,442 incidents between early August 2024 and mid-2025. Scores of temples and sites of worship were also vandalised.

Some online reactions are understandable, but many posts in India are misdirected into partisan attacks against domestic Opposition parties instead of demanding accountability from Bangladesh’s authorities and urgent diplomatic action from our government. That’s a mistake. Outrage is reasonable, but channeling it into misinformation or communal targeting at home only deepens division and lets the perpetrators abroad go unchallenged.

We should demand an independent investigation into the lynching. We should also seek diplomatic engagement to protect minority rights and support civil society groups helping affected communities. Condemn the violence and urge the government to hold accountable those responsible and ensure the protection of vulnerable communities in Bangladesh.

This is leadership. After securing one of the most decisive victories of the modern era, India remained true to its stated objective of liberating an oppressed people. It did so without resorting to chest-thumping or triumphalism. The restraint demonstrated after 1971 continues to be a benchmark in moral and strategic statecraft.

Read about Mr Narayan Murthy and Mrs Sudha Murthy’s decision to opt out of Karnataka Govt’s socio economic caste survey. Not surprised at all.

With all due respect for their extraordinary achievements, this stance reflects privilege, which isn’t just financial but social.

‘I don’t believe in caste’ is an extremely privileged and entitled argument invariably made by those who belong to the so called ‘upper caste’.

Socio economic caste surveys aid better, more targeted and evidence based welfare policies. They reveal how wealth, education, and power are distributed across society.

It is no secret that Dalits, Adivasis, and OBCs remain disproportionately deprived of resources, access to education and power.

Which is why socio economic caste survey is the first step towards higher social equity and greater representation.

Refusing to be a part of this exercise is conveniently turning your back on centuries of caste-based discrimination, which actually demands urgent, data-driven affirmative policy action.

Set your privilege aside, for a moment. And the need for this will dawn on anyone who truly cares!
