Campaigning for Alexandra Parade, Duke Street and rest of Dennistoun to become people friendly. Cycle lanes, full time bus lanes and against pavement parking.
What we think Alexandra Parade needs:
~ Full time bus lanes
~ Bollards to stop pavement parking
~ Protected cycle access
~ More trees
~ Better crossing access
~ 20 mph limit and enforcement
Glasgow's parks are wonderful. I am fortunate enough to regularly cycle through Alexandra Park, Dennistoun, and have wanted to get a decent shot of this amazing tree for some time. This morning, courtesy of the lower October sun, was just right.

A zig-zag active travel path has opened linking the Forth and Clyde Canal and Garscube Road. It helps form a crossroads with the canal towpath and the bridge into Claypits nature reserve which itself has paths to nearby communities. More at https://t.co/KrBJ9l2vFo
Do you live, work or have an interest in Glasgow's 'Inner East' (the area between #Dennistoun - #Parkhead - #Tollcross and from #Collegelands - #Carntyne - #Shettleston)?
If so, please take part in our consultation on the future development of the area 👉 https://t.co/xrTV4Zllje
The Barcelona 🇪🇸 superblocks are about so much more than traffic calming.
Superblocks are about nurturing social cohesion by putting human interactions back at the centre of communities and developing the full potential of streets👇
We will be holding another read-in tomorrow at 11am outside Maryhill Library. We may be in Level 0 but there is still no word from the Council or Glasgow Life about when our library will reopen. Please join us if you can!
A petition has been set up by #Park4Collegelands to build a Community Park in #Calton, for another greenspace similar to Barrowland Park. If you'd like to support please visit: https://t.co/sOP613jDO6
The stepped effect of this tenement row in the Dennistoun heights has caught my eye before; and with blue sky and sunlit elevation, the time was right for a quick snap.
This is brilliant from @theburdtweets as we attempt to make streets in Corstorphine safer for anyone who doesn’t want to (or can’t) drive. Active travel is here to stay. @lmacinnessnp @adamrmcvey
A ten-year plan is being launched to make Glasgow’s neighbourhoods ‘safe, pleasant, attractive’ people-friendly environments designed for ‘playing, walking and cycling’.

The therapeutic qualities our cities can offer are not limited to warm, sunny days.
By reimagining our relationship with rain and play, how could rainy cities be transformed to become vibrant places for people, regardless of the weather? #therapeuticcity https://t.co/9hg6quR9zE
