@UtdAlienn@gh_gunu You’re comparing 5 UCL titles to a World Cup as if Messi has nothing else to show for himself. Messi has 4 ucl, including defeating Ronaldo and scoring in a UCL final. He has also won the World Cup, played in 3 World Cup finals, won the Golden Ball twice, and lifted the trophy.
Another part of Messi and Ronaldo GOAL SCORING DEBATE
😂😂 LET ME EXPLAIN THE MESSI VS RONALDO DEBATE IN A WAY EVERYBODY CAN UNDERSTAND.
Imagine two students writing the same examination.
Student A has answered 1,340 questions and scored 981 marks.
Student B has answered 1,179 questions and scored 934 marks.
Now, Student A has scored more marks overall. Nobody is denying that. But Student B has answered 161 fewer questions and is only 47 marks behind.
So why are people celebrating only the total marks without asking how many questions each student needed to achieve them?
Ronaldo has more total goals. Messi has a better goals-per-game ratio.
Ronaldo averages approximately 0.73 goals per appearance, while Messi averages approximately 0.79. In simple terms, Messi scores more frequently per game, even though Ronaldo has scored more goals overall.
And here’s the funniest part: THE EXAMINATION IS NOT EVEN OVER! 😂
Both players are still adding to their records. The gap can change.
So when somebody tells you Ronaldo has 981 goals and Messi has 934, don’t argue with the numbers. Ask them to look at the number of matches played, goals per game, assists, playmaking and the overall contribution to the team.
TOTAL GOALS TELL YOU WHO HAS SCORED MORE. GOALS PER GAME TELL YOU HOW FREQUENTLY THEY SCORE. AND THE GOAT DEBATE REQUIRES MUCH MORE THAN ONE STATISTIC.
That’s why this debate will never be settled by one number alone. 🐐⚽

😂😂 “Messi is efficient, Ronaldo is complete” is one of the funniest arguments I’ve seen in football debates.
Apparently, to be a complete footballer, you need to perform stepovers, rabonas and bicycle kicks. But creating chances, controlling games, dictating tempo, breaking defensive lines, dribbling past multiple defenders, scoring goals and providing assists don’t count? 😂
Let’s separate football skills from football tricks.
Messi has spent his career proving that he can score like an elite striker while creating chances like an elite playmaker. He has the vision of a midfielder, the dribbling ability of an elite winger and the finishing ability of a world-class forward.
If we’re discussing dribbling, Messi belongs among the greatest ever. If we’re discussing playmaking, he belongs among the greatest ever. If we’re discussing chance creation, passing, goalscoring and assists, he belongs among the greatest ever.
Now tell me, which footballer has mastered all those aspects of attacking football at Messi’s level?
Ronaldo is an incredible footballer. His aerial ability, movement in the box, finishing, physicality and longevity are phenomenal. Nobody needs to diminish him to appreciate Messi.
But listing Ronaldo’s bicycle kicks, headers, weak-foot goals and stepovers doesn’t prove that Messi is one-dimensional. It proves that Ronaldo has a different skill set.
And here’s the biggest problem with this argument: if Messi is supposedly limited to body feints, close control and his left foot, how has he become one of football’s greatest goalscorers, creators, dribblers and playmakers simultaneously?
You cannot dismiss the things Messi does at an elite level simply because he doesn’t perform every trick in the football handbook.
Football is not a freestyle competition. The objective is to score goals, create opportunities, control games and help your team win.
Messi does all of that.
Ronaldo has an extraordinary range of techniques. Messi has an extraordinary range of footballing influence. There is a difference.
And calling Messi incomplete doesn’t become an intelligent argument simply because you repeat it confidently. 😂🐐
The only thing you can say Ronaldo is better than Messi is goal scoring which is not true.
Messi is a version of Maradona and pele and Ronaldo at the same time
Statistically you can check
934goals
426 assists
He won everything
Maradona didn’t score have Messi score
Messi has more dribbles
Ronaldo didn’t assist have Messi
Ronaldo has more goals not too much because of game playing time and there age
Let Messi reach 41years also let’s see
This is exactly the kind of mentality that is dangerous in Nigeria. 🇳🇬
Imagine a politician builds a hospital worth ₦100 million and comes out to tell Nigerians he spent ₦1 billion. Then he writes a long, emotional speech about how he has saved lives, sacrificed everything, and deserves the people’s eternal gratitude. Someone who doesn’t know the facts will read it and say, “What a great leader!”
That is how propaganda works. You take a few genuine facts, mix them with exaggerations, leave out the important details, and tell the story so confidently that people mistake it for the truth.
That is what I see in this post about Messi. Yes, Barcelona helped Messi when he was young. Nobody needs to deny that. But using that fact to paint every disagreement Messi has with the club as ingratitude, while ignoring the circumstances surrounding his departure, is a one-sided way of telling history.
My concern is not even about Messi. It is about the mindset behind this kind of argument.
Imagine someone with this approach becoming a leader in Nigeria. Would we get the full story about public spending, or would we get emotional speeches designed to make ordinary people believe whatever the leader wants them to believe?
A good storyteller is not necessarily an honest person. A convincing speech is not proof that the story is true. And a leader should be judged by facts, evidence, and accountability—not by how beautifully he can manipulate people’s emotions.
Nigeria doesn’t just need leaders who know how to speak. We need citizens who know how to question what they hear.
@grok@_timmydairo@User2152225 So of you add Mesii 509 assist minus Ronaldo 329 it’s going to be 183 difference
Better for them to leave it as 426-261= 165 because the gap will be much right
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They can’t run and we’re scoring 1000goals also
No opta in scoring goals they can’t cheat
