My first first-author paper is now out on arXiv! Special shoutout to Aliza Beverage (@spacebeverage) and Nathan Sandford (@Nathan_Sandford) for their mentorship. Enjoy 😊

NGDEEP paper day (ish, I'm a little late)! Check out our paper presenting the #JWST NGDEEP Survey, where we describe the survey design, summarize the science goals, and detail our plans for data releases.

one time in college a professor spent 90 minutes talking about an example scenario that involved beef and i thought nothing of it until several weeks later when i found out that my classmate had made a minute long compilation of all 125 times he said "beef" in one lecture
Cosmologists: I must solve astronomy's greatest mystery, the true nature of the universe
Planetary scientists: I must answer astronomy's greatest question, if life exists elsewhere in the universe
Astronomers studying galaxies:
Okay folks, it's time!! This was definitely a labor of love, and something that's been in the works for 4+ years.
Inspired by the perfect similarity between #JWST's primary mirror and the Catan board, I present JWST Catan: Explore the Universe

so during the academic job cycle last fall, I kept notes on things I figured out/made & things people shared with me
over the past few months I've compiled all this into a guide for anyone going into the academic job cycle this fall ❤️❤️❤️

Read the amazing stories of fellow graduate students using #JWST to do some cool science!
Thank you @latimes@NASAWebb@ESA_Webb can't wait for our data to come!!🥰

Just a reminder that the Hubble image of the first JWST field was a relatively short exposure - as is the JWST image! The best that Hubble has done is almost as beautiful as the JWST image - see https://t.co/w0ky8kKVR1 .
And the best that JWST can do is still to come!
