A @SpaceX Dragon is approaching the orbital outpost for a docking at 10:30 a.m. EDT today live on @NASA+. Dragon is carrying over 6,300 pounds of science, supplies, and roll-out solar arrays for the Expedition 75 crew. https://t.co/8VnZyFu2tR
How do you catch the @Space_Station when it is travelling at 17,500 mph?
To reach the ISS, SpaceX Dragon launches into the correct orbital path, then uses a series of precise engine burns to gradually catch up with the station.
As it approaches, its speed relative to the ISS drops to just a few centimetres per second.
Watch Crew-13 complete that final journey to the station, captured live from orbit on 01 October 2026.

We are providing an additional €2.7 million to support Rocket Factory Augsburg as it prepares for the first RFA One test flight from SaxaVord Spaceport in the UK. 🚀
Through our Boost! programme, we’re supporting further testing and launch infrastructure ahead of RFA One’s first flight.

Remember Boeing's Starliner?
NASA is preparing to order 2 more crewed Boeing Starliner flights to the ISS, help pay to fix Starliner’s thrusters, and certify it on a new rocket after Atlas V!
If SpaceX's Dragon winds down by 2030, Starliner is the only other certified US crew capsule NASA can lean on—if Boeing can actually make it reliable and find a successor launcher.
Starliner is still the backup, not the proven workhorse: its 2024 crewed test had helium leaks and thruster failures (a NASA Type A mishap), and the crew came home on SpaceX's Dragon.
SpaceX has flown multiple ISS crew missions reliably; SpaceX President Gwen Shotwell said Dragon isn’t retiring immediately and that Boeing should fly the capsule the US govt already funded.
Unfortunately, and fortunately this is the case
I love Dragon and I always will but Starship needs room for bigger and better things and we can’t hold on to the expensive past forever even tho it is amazing
This is evolution
🚀 @esa has signed a service contract with The Exploration Company under ALADDIN, Europe's commercial cargo return programme.
The agreement covers an initial demonstration mission of the Nyx capsule to the International @Space_Station and future cargo transportation services in Low Earth Orbit.
The contract marks an important step towards developing an independent European cargo transportation capability.

Did you know Dragon can jettison the nosecone with a manual control button?
This is so Dragon can access all the navigational equipment, dehumidifier vent, and bulkhead Draco thrusters under the nosecone if it cannot open normally.
Dragon can survive entry without a nosecone.
