@OrangeGrove55 Well, to be fair, wasn't the Matterhorn, Submarine Voyage & Monorail all part of the 1959 Tomorrowland expansion? I've never seen the monorail above head on Buena Vista St. I do recall imagineers discussing the new street's design to deliberately keep your view at eye level.
